Indian, Tunisian nationals among five winners of Dh150,000 Big Ticket prize
Grand prize draw set for July 3 in Abu Dhabi
DUBAI: Five fortunate individuals are celebrating a massive windfall after winning Dh150,000 each in the latest Big Ticket raffle held in Abu Dhabi.
Among the winners are a 34-year-old Indian delivery rider and a 38-year-old Tunisian banker, both longtime residents of the UAE. Their wins come just weeks ahead of the highly anticipated Dh25 million grand prize draw set for July 3.
Who are the winners?
Abdullah Pulikkoor Mohammed, who hails from Kerala, India, works as a delivery rider and has been living in Abu Dhabi for nine years. He said this was his sixth attempt at the Big Ticket. Mohammed plans to share his winnings with 12 friends and use his portion to pay off debts.
Another lucky winner is Babulal Gautam, a 68-year-old from Mumbai. Gautam, who once owned a shop in Sharjah in 2014, has been buying Big Ticket entries for the past 10 years. “I missed the call but saw the email and was thrilled. After a whole decade of trying, it finally happened,” he said. He intends to support his family and those in need with his prize money.
Joining him is Tunisian national Souhail Barhoumi, a resident of Ajman who works at Dubai Islamic Bank. Barhoumi had been shopping for Eid clothes with his daughter when he got the call that changed his day. He’s been entering the draw since 2016 and now plans to use his winnings to complete his house that’s under construction.
Two other winners include Salihrahman Pallipadath, a 37-year-old businessman from Kerala who entered as part of a group of 11 friends, and Shaji Memana, also from Kerala.
What’s next in the draw?
The excitement isn’t over yet. The grand draw, where one winner will take home Dh25 million, is scheduled for July 3. Additionally, three other winners will receive Dh75,000 each.
Weekly e-draws will continue leading up to the grand prize date, taking place on June 10, June 17, June 24, and July 1.
